Veteran actor Dharmendra died on 24 November. Dharmendra’s family is immersed in grief due to his departure. Dharmendra’s second wife Hema Malini had organized a prayer meet for the actor in Delhi on 11 December. Now he has organized a prayer meet for Dharmendra in Mathura on Saturday.
Hema Malini became emotional
Many politicians, spiritual leaders and the director of his film Anil Sharma were seen in this prayer meet held in Mathura. During this time, Hema Malini’s daughters Ahana Deol and Esha Deol were not with her. Hema Malini was also seen quite emotional.
Speaking to PTI, Hema Malini said, ‘I never thought that I would have to organize a prayer meet for my beloved Dharam ji. This is an unbearable shock. We had a relationship of 57 years. We worked in 45 films and out of these 25 films were superhit. Even today I feel surprised and happy that my onscreen love became my real life partner.
Two documentaries were also shown in this prayer meet of Dharmendra. One documentary was made by Anil Sharma and the other contained Urdu poetry of Dharmendra. Bhajans were also sung in the prayer meet.

Recently, Hema Malini shared a video on Instagram, which had memories of Dharmendra and her. In the caption of this video, he wrote, ‘Special tribute to Dharmendra ji. This video showcases his evergreen appeal, his talent and his commanding presence in all his films. This visual tribute was made for the two prayer meets that I organized in Delhi and Mathura.
It is known that Dharmendra had married twice. The name of his first wife is Prakash Kaur. His second wife is Hema Malini. Dharmendra married Hema without divorcing Prakash.
