In Turkas, these mountains are made of mineral called travartine. Pamukkale is located in Denizali province of Türkiye and the region has been known as a thermal spa for thousands of years. Hot water waterfalls coming out of here are rich in minerals.

These springs are also considered to be medicinal properties. Since the time of the Roman Empire, people have been using this water to get relief from diseases. This is the reason that the ruins of the ancient city of Hiarapolis around Pamukkale are also present.

UNESCO has mentored both Pamukkale and Hiapolis as the World Heritage Site. The most special thing here is the staircase structure of the mountains. When the hot water flows downwards from the rocks, the calcium carbonate present in it makes a white layer fiercely.

Gradually these layers become thick and make shapes like stairs. This natural process has been going on for millions of years and today the unique view of Pamukkale is in front of the world.

This place is no less than a paradise for tourists. People coming here take a bath in these natural ponds and enjoy thermal water. It is said that bathing in this water provides relief in skin problems, bone pain and digestive problems.

However, in view of environmental protection, many parts of Pamukkale have now been closed, so that the beauty and structure of these layers can be saved.

Pamukkale is not only a symbol of natural beauty, but it is also a part of the historical and cultural heritage of Türkiye.
