Himachal Cloudburst: Himachal’s mandi again destroyed due to cloudburst, 3 people killed in landslide, debris everywhere

Once again, cloudburst has caused heavy havoc in Mandi, Himachal Pradesh. A lot of debris fell due to landslides, in which about three people have died. People’s lives have stopped due to natural disaster in many areas of Himachal.

Mandi DC Apoorva Devgan has informed that 3 people have died in the mohalla near the jail road. The search for a woman continues. There is a lot of debris, where the vehicles are stuck, work is going on. Many houses have been damaged. People are going to safe places from here.

Apoorva Devgan said that the team has also set up relief camps. All teams of electricity department, PWD, water power are on the streets and relief work is going on.

Heavy damage in Mandi late night, NDRF deployed
Leader of Opposition in Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly and former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur said, “There has been a lot of damage in Mandi city due to rain. Last night, there was heavy rains throughout the night. The damage here occurred between 3:30-4.4.00 am. According to the information received so far, 3 bodies have been found and one person has been missing. NDRF teams have reached here. Relief work is going on here. I urge the administration and the government as soon as possible.”

The most damage in these areas
The maximum damage due to destruction in Mandi has been in Jail Road, Zonal Hospital Marg and Sain area. Due to landslides, Kiratpur Manali Fourlane and Pathankot Mandi National Highways have been closed.
