Himachal Monsoon: Life has been disturbed due to heavy monsoon rains in Himachal Pradesh. According to the data released by the State Emergency Operations Center, 31 people have died till 27 June since the monsoon came on 20 June in Himachal. 4 people are missing, while 66 people were injured. In addition to snake bite, drowning, road accidents, the figures of people flowing in water are also included.

Due to heavy rains, the state has lost Rs 29.16 crore a week. The maximum loss is Rs 2 crore 743.40 lakh to Public Works Department (PWD). 6 houses have been completely destroyed while 8 are damaged. 7 shops and 8 gaushalas have also been taken away by water. In which 37 animal birds have also flowed.

53 roads closed across the state

53 roads across the state have been closed for traffic. Along with this, the routine of thousands of people is being affected due to 135 power transformers and 147 drinking water schemes. The maximum damage in the state has been recorded in Kullu district, where 23 roads are closed.

Water supply and power system in Nirmand and Ani sub -divisions has collapsed badly. 74 transformers and 118 drinking water schemes are not working in the district. At the same time, 16 roads are closed in Mandi district and 59 transformers are stalled. 33 drinking water schemes are affected in Kinnaur.

Orange alert declared

The Meteorological Department has issued a forecast of heavy rainfall till 3 July. Especially on 29 June, Orange Alert has been declared on 29 June in view of the possibility of heavy rains. Flash flood has been warned in Shimla and Sirmaur districts during the next 24 hours and people have been advised to stay away from rivers and drains and be vigilant.
