Himachal Corona Cases: Once again, an increase in the cases of Kovid-19 is being registered across the country, the effect of which has now started appearing in Himachal Pradesh. After a new case of Corona infection came to light in the state, the Health Department has issued an advisory by taking immediate vigilance. Under this, wearing masks in all government hospital premises of the state has been made mandatory.

It is mandatory for Timardars to wear masks

According to the health department, it will be mandatory for the patients to wear masks along with patients. Especially the elderly, children and people struggling with serious diseases have been advised to take additional precautions and essentially wear masks. In the advisory, strict instructions have also been given to follow social dispensing in public places, so that the series of infections can be broken.

Special arrangements have been made to deal with Kovid at Indira Gandhi Medical College (IGMC), Shimla, the largest government hospital in the state. In the hospital, 150 oxygen -rich Mekshift Kovid ward has been prepared.

What did IGMC deputy medical superintendent say?

IGMC Deputy Medical Superintendent Dr. Praveen S. Bhatia said that on the instructions of the Health Department, all the necessary preparations have been completed to deal with the situation of Kovid in the hospital. Patients are being advised to come to the hospital immediately in case of symptoms like cough, fever and cold, so that treatment can be done in time and does not spread infection.

Team of doctors present in the hospital 24 hours

He also informed that sufficient quantity of covid testing kits, essential medicines and teams of doctors are present in the hospital 24 hours. The Health Department has instructed all the Chief Medical Officers (CMO) of the state, principals of medical colleges and superintendents of government hospitals to stay on alert and continuously monitor the situation. Last week, the department had issued orders to all hospitals to check the functionality of oxygen plant, ensure availability of testing kit and strengthen ICU facilities.

The Health Department has appealed to the general public to take precaution from Kovid 19, avoid congestion, wear masks and see symptoms of any problem related to Kovid, take medical advice and get a medical consultation immediately.
