Demographic changes in many villages located at some distance from Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, have increased the concern of the state government. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami clearly told the officials that if anyone misuses his responsibilities or the role of any officer or employee is found suspicious, strict action will be taken against him. He also said that we will make whatever efforts we have to maintain the original form of the state.
In fact, the Hindu population is gradually decreasing in the Pachhwadun area under Vidhan Sabha Vikas Nagar, at a short distance from Dehradun. There are about 28 villages where the Hindu population is becoming a minority. There have been rapid demographic changes here, regarding this, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed the District Magistrate to get all the people present here verified and their ration cards etc. should be checked.
Government showed strictness on complaints
Let us tell you that many people have already complained about Pachhwadun area that gradually the Muslim population here is increasing rapidly and the Hindu population is decreasing. Now the state government also seems to be strict regarding this.
Instructions to all District Magistrates to conduct verification campaign
While talking to ABP News, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that, we have instructed not only here but all the district officers of the state to run the verification campaign and properly check the ration cards etc. Especially in those areas which are rural because demographic change is happening rapidly in rural areas.
Order for checking electricity connection etc.
At the same time, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that we have received many complaints regarding Pachhwadun area. For this, we have given orders to the officials to check fake ration cards, fake electricity connections, Aadhar cards, voter ID cards.
