Friday and Sunday are auspicious for the farewell of the daughter. In some beliefs, Monday, Thursday and Saturday are also considered auspicious. But one should avoid bidding farewell on Wednesday. It is best to ask the priest for an auspicious time after looking at the almanac for bidding farewell.

One should not bid farewell to the daughter on periods like Wednesday, Saturday or Kharmas etc. It is inauspicious to bid farewell to your daughter during these days.
