Two legendary athletes who gave recognition to the ‘number 10 jersey’ in the sports world have met. Sachin Tendulkar and Lionel Messi met each other at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and Sachin also presented his cricket jersey to Messi. This was a historic moment in cricket and football history.
Lionel Messi also met former Indian football team captain Sunil Chhetri at Wankhede Stadium. He then met Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and then met ‘Master Blaster’ Sachin Tendulkar. Both of them did it after some time, the video of which is being shared widely on social media.
Sachin Tendulkar presented his 2011 ODI World Cup jersey to Messi. Whereas Argentina’s legendary footballer presented the 2022 World Cup ball to Sachin Tendulkar. To understand what Sachin Tendulkar was saying, his translator was also present with Messi.

Meanwhile, Sachin Tendulkar was asked what he thought about Lionel Messi coming to India. He said, “We respect Lionel Messi’s dedication, tenacity and commitment. He is greatly admired for his humble nature and the kind of person he is. On behalf of the people of Mumbai and India, I wish Messi and his family happiness and good health.”

Lionel Messi reached Kolkata on 13 December, after which he met Rahul Gandhi in Hyderabad and also became a part of the exhibition match. Today he reached Mumbai and will go to Delhi tomorrow i.e. on 15th December.
