Vicky Kaushal told that his first meeting with Katrina Kaif was at an award show. Recalling that moment, Vicky said, “The first time I met her was at an awards show that I was hosting. I performed Chikni Chameli with her on stage and later, when we went backstage, Sunil Grover introduced us. Within five minutes of meeting me, Katrina started teaching me how to host a show. And saying goodnight!”
Their next meeting was at another awards function, where Vicky, as part of a scripted gag, jokingly proposed to Katrina on stage. He laughed, “During the second award show, I asked her, ‘Why don’t you marry a nice guy like Vicky?’ But we weren’t dating at that time.” Vicky clarified that he had to ask only one question to each actress in that segment, but his conversation with Katrina went viral, leading to speculations about their chemistry.

After dating quietly for some time, Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif took their relationship to the next level and had an intimate yet grand wedding on 9 December 2021 at Six Senses Fort Barwada, Rajasthan.
Only close friends and family members attended this wedding, and later the couple shared their beautiful pictures. Recently, on November 7, 2025, the couple welcomed their little prince.
