Rajinikanth’s real name is Shivaji Rao Gaikwad. He was born on 12 December 1950 in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Born in an ordinary family, Rajinikanth’s early studies were from Gavipuram Government Kannada Model Primary School in Bengaluru. Here he received primary education and during this time his interest started moving towards sports and plays along with education.
Spiritual education found in Ramakrishna Math
After completing his primary school, his family sent him to Ramakrishna Math. Here Rajinikanth got education in the spiritual atmosphere. During this time he learned deeply about Vedas, history and Indian culture. This was the time when he understood the values and discipline of life. The atmosphere of the monastery played an important role in improving his thinking and personality.
College studies
Rajinikanth enrolled in a school in Bangalore and then college for his further studies. However, his family was not financially strong. For this reason, along with studies, they had to do small jobs. They stayed up to the porter and the bus conductor, but they never left their dreams behind.
Increased interest in acting
According to reports, while studying in Ramakrishna Math, Rajinikanth’s inclination started moving towards acting. There he used to participate in religious plays many times. Gradually, he decided that his real path is the world of acting.
Acting course from Madras Film Institute
To carry forward this passion of acting, he enrolled in the Madras Film Institute in Chennai (then Madras). Here he took a course of acting and learned the nuances of acting. It was from here that Rajinikanth started demonstrating his art on stage and then on screen. This education, received from the Madras Film Institute, laid the foundation of his career. It was from here that he got a chance to enter films and then he never looked back.
