A shining star of Punjabi cinema and comedy world is no longer among us. Famous comedian and actor Jaswinder Bhalla died on 22 August. He was ill for some time and breathed his last in the hospital during treatment. He was 65 years old.
As soon as the news of his death was received, not only the whole of Punjab, but a wave of mourning ran in the whole country. Jaswinder Bhalla was not just a comedian, but was an artist who laughed and made people laugh for years with his comedy and acting.
He was also top in studies

He completed his B.Sc and M.Sc from Punjab Agriculture University. After this, he did PhD from Chaudhary Charan Singh Post Graduate College, Meerut. Knowing that you may find it difficult to believe that whose name is known for laughter in the Punjabi industry, he was actually very serious and hardworking in terms of studies.
Travel from professor to comedian
After completing his studies, Jaswinder Bhalla started his career as Assistant Professor from Punjab Agriculture University. He moved forward on the basis of his hard work and ability and became a professor and head in the Department of Extension Education there.
He retired from this post on 31 May 2020. That is, his identity was not limited to the actor and comedian, but he remained connected with the education world for a long time.

However, Jaswinder Bhalla got his real identity from films and comedy shows. His comic timing and dialogue delivery was so good that the audience was forced to laugh on seeing his acting. He worked in many hit Punjabi films in his career and ruled the hearts of the audience with his comedy.

The news of his demise is deeply shocked in the Punjabi film industry. Many big actors and filmmakers paid tribute to him on social media. Fans also wrote a passionate message and said goodbye to his favorite comedian. On August 23, he will be cremated at 12 noon at the crematorium in Balouni, Mohali.
