Anti-government protests have been going on in Iran for three weeks. These demonstrations have reached not only Iranian cities but also villages. In view of the large number of demonstrations, the Iranian government has banned the Internet and international calls have also been banned. Amidst all this, India had issued an advisory regarding its people leaving Iran, after which many people have returned to their country from Iran to India.
People who have come to India from Iran say that internal protests are going on there. The economy is not developing and the currency continues to fall. All these things are being demonstrated and hence internet was not working there for 10 days. One person told that three of us had gone to work in an Indian pharmaceutical company. we are back. Everything was fine where we were.
Protest over inflation, situation normal: Indian
The person told that there is nothing like what the media is showing here. Even though there are demonstrations regarding inflation, the situation is better. We had to come and go and we also went to Tehran. In this situation but such circumstances are not there. I saw with my own eyes that small shops at the intersection were demolished. The police there don’t speak much. No one has any problem there, nor does the government there tell you to go. All the people who are there, except the Iranian people, no one has any problem.

‘There was no problem there’
Zahra, a girl who came to India from Iran, said that there was no internet there, so we did not have much idea. Another person said that the conditions there are good. There was no problem of any kind. We have also gone to the market, everything was very good. We are coming full circle. We used to go even at 11:00 in the night, any time, there is no problem there. There was no problem in commuting nor in eating food.
He told that the conditions there are very good. We went on 28th December. We have returned today, everything is fine there. No one faced any problem. There were no restrictions. We are coming from Tehran but we did not see anything. There were some demonstrations for some time but then everything became normal.
