Many television personalities attended the awards show to mark the completion of 25 years of Indian Television Academy (ITA). On this occasion, Asit Modi, director of the popular sitcom ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’, reacted regarding TV and OTT. He said that the award show was created so that the hard work of the artists and technicians of Indian television is honored.
Responding to the question of TV and OTT, he said, “Technology makes a difference. People say that TV is being watched less, but I believe that if good content is shown then viewers will definitely come. TV works to unite the family. The whole family watches it together. TV will always have its place.”
Regarding social media and OTT, he said, “Today every platform is giving good content. Be it OTT, TV or social media, it is like a pleasure for the audience. Favorite shows are available on the app too. If you don’t like it, change the channel or app.”
How long will Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma run?
Asit is proud of his serial Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and said, “The show is still running, and will continue as long as we can. I see that even today people are liking the show and the only show that gives laughter and happiness is ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’. I feel happy that people watch it with great interest. It is not a show but a brand, which is getting a lot of love from the audience till now. I have made it with great hard work and my team. She also works hard with all her heart.”
