According to Bar & Bench report, the bench headed by CJI Surya Kant was hearing the case of Suresh Devi vs Allahabad High Court. The next date was being decided during the hearing. Holi holidays were near, so the court asked to fix the date of hearing of the case after Holi. Meanwhile, the CJI smilingly said, list the case after Holi break, no-no… list it next week… brother, it is Allahabad… it will take a week to get rid of the intoxication of cannabis. Let us tell you that this comment of the CJI was not on any formal order of the court, but was said in a light and funny manner, but after this joke of the CJI, other people in the court room also started laughing.
