How many days of emergency stock of petrol and diesel in Punjab, CM Bhagwant Mann gave information, made this demand from PM

Amidst the ongoing concerns regarding energy supply due to the ongoing war in the Middle East, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has given information about the stock of petrol and diesel for emergency situations in the state. He has said that there is a stock of 12 days of petrol and 14 days of diesel for emergencies in the state. He has appealed to the people not to pay attention to any rumour.

CM Mann said that in the meeting of Chief Ministers with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, he informed about the situation of petrol and diesel in the state. He said that this stock is for emergency and is in addition to the regular supply of petrol and diesel.

Demand to ensure supply of petrol and diesel

Bhagwant Mann said, “We have demanded from the Prime Minister in the meeting that in the coming days, wheat harvesting and storage work will be done in Punjab and for this, proper supply of petrol and diesel should be ensured.” Paddy crop will also be planted in the coming days, hence proper supply of Di Ammonium Phosphate (DAP) should be ensured in the state.

41 lakh metric tons of wheat in the warehouses of Punjab- Bhagwant Mann

CM Mann further said that Punjab remains among the leading states in the country in dealing with the crisis situation and this time too I have appealed to the Prime Minister that the central government should deliver the grains available in the state’s grain storage to the poor people through its schemes. He said, “At present there is 41 lakh metric tonnes of wheat in the state’s warehouses while about 130 lakh metric tonnes of wheat will arrive in the month of April as harvesting work is about to begin. Apart from this, there are 139 lakh metric tonnes of rice in the warehouses of the state.

Demand to take out grains by running special train

He said that we have demanded from the Prime Minister that this grain should be taken out by running a special train so that the upcoming wheat crop can be stored properly. He said, “Prime Minister Modi keeps talking about his friendly relations with different leaders of the world, hence in the meeting he has appealed to them to use these relations to get the country’s ships out of the sea. I raised this issue in the meeting that on one hand we talk about becoming a world leader and on the other hand everything is being done by asking America.
