BJP has released the second list of 12 candidates for the assembly elections in Bihar. This also includes many hot seats of Bihar, regarding which politics is heated in the state. The party has also given ticket to popular singer Maithili Thakur who joined BJP a day earlier (14 October 2025). While the names of many candidates were deleted from the second list of BJP, the party has expressed confidence in many new faces.
How many MLAs’ tickets were canceled?
BJP has made singer Maithili Thakur its candidate from Alipore assembly seat. Former IPS Anand Mishra, who joined BJP from Jansuraj, has been given ticket by the party from Buxar. The party has canceled the ticket of Gyanendra Gyanu due to flood. Dr. Siyaram Singh has been made the candidate from here. CN Gupta has been made Chhoti Kumari candidate by cutting her ticket from Chhapra.
BJP bet on new face
Bharatiya Janata Party has placed bets on new faces from Shahpur, Agiaon and Muzaffarpur seats. Rakesh Ojha has been given a chance from Shahpur. Munni Devi was the candidate on this seat in the last assembly elections. The party has placed its bet on Mahesh Paswan in Agiaon. Shivesh Kumar was the BJP candidate from here in the 2020 elections. Ranjan Kumar has been given ticket from Muzaffarpur. In the last election, BJP’s Suresh Sharma was defeated from here.

BJP has given ticket to new candidate Subhash Singh from Gopalganj seat. The party has canceled the ticket of Kusum Devi from here. In the 2020 assembly elections, Kusum Devi’s husband Subhash Singh won the election from here on BJP ticket, but after his death, Kusum Devi won the by-election.
Prabhunath Singh Samadhi and brother got tickets
Vinay Kumar Singh, who was MLA from Sonpur Assembly on BJP ticket, has again been made a candidate by the party. He is a close associate of Bahubali leader Prabhunath Singh. The party has made Prabhunath Singh’s brother Kedarnath Singh its candidate from Baniyapur seat. Earlier he was in RJD.
