Cricket is one of the most popular sports in the world. At the same time, this is the most favorite game of India. People are seen playing cricket in every street in India. In street cricket, we make some of our rules ourselves, but in international cricket, rules are already decided. In such international cricket, the length of the pitch is also decided. At the same time, the distance of the pitch in the cricket played in the streets is often traveled.

Length of international cricket pitch

In international cricket, the length of the pitch is 22 yards i.e. 20.12 meters (66 ft). This distance decides the right gap between the bowler’s hand left and reaching the batsman. At the same time, the width of the pitch is kept 10 feet i.e. 3.05 meters. Batting and bowling are inside this fixed pitch. The ball thrown outside it is called dead ball.

The ICC has also decided that the crease should be correct marking on both ends on the pitch. Bowling crease, popping crease and return crease are also fixed. The batsman gets decisions like run out or stumping on the basis of these crease.

What happens in street cricket?

There is no fixed length of pitch in street cricket. Many times players walk 15–20 steps according to their own and start the game. In such a situation, the batsman and bowler do not get as much balanced challenge as professional cricket. Gali cricket is definitely fun, but there the rules change according to the convenience and place of the players, but this does not happen in international cricket. The rules made there are followed all over the world in every match.
