Fighter jet has a really cooling system, but it is not like a simple air conditioner installed in the house or office. It is called Environmental Conditioning System i.e. ECS in technical language.

Its purpose is not only to relax the pilot, but also to maintain the complex electronic devices, radars and sensors inside the aircraft at the right temperature, so that they do not spoil in the heat.

Generally people think that jet will have AC according to tons like home, but it is not so. The capacity of AC of fighter jet is measured in the kilowatt.

This is because the aircraft has to maintain a stable temperature in conditions like high speed, height and pressure.

The technology of fighter jets is constantly being updated. High-tech radar and electronic warfare system in modern aircraft require additional coolness.

For example, Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II initially had about 14 kw cooling capacity, later it was increased to 30-32 kw and now this capacity has reached about 47 kw in F-35 Block 4 version.

Experts say that there is a plan to take it to 60 kW in future. Cooling technology is developing rapidly. The Collins Aerospace Company has developed the Enhanced Power and Cooling System, whose capacity has reached 80 kW.
