The US Central Command (CENTCOM) shared a post on social media platform X on Wednesday (March 25, 2026), in which it called Iran’s claim a rumor. Centcom said, ‘Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that it had successfully targeted an American F-18 fighter plane over Chabahar using a new advanced air defense system, but the truth is that no American fighter plane has been targeted by Iran.’
How many US planes has Iran targeted so far in the war?
More than three weeks have passed since Iran’s war with America and Israel started. During this period, Iran, America and Israel have carried out rapid missile and drone attacks.
