The coming time for government jobs can bring good news, especially for employees who are working on Level-4 post, such as grade de stenographer. Recently, it is clear from the figures that have come out that after the implementation of the 8th Pay Commission, there may be a tremendous increase in the salary of these employees.

How much salary is available now?

Currently, the basic salary of Level-4 stenographer is Rs 25,500 per month. Along with this, they also get dearness allowance (DA), travel allowance (TA), and other government facilities. By adding all these, their in-hand salary is around 35,000 to 40,000 rupees. But now it is expected that this salary will increase significantly from the upcoming Pay Commission.

New salary will be decided by fitment factor

The biggest basis for increase in salary of government employees is fitment factor. It was 2.57 in the 7th Pay Commission, due to which the minimum wage increased from 7,000 to 18,000. Now three possible fitment factor for the 8th Pay Commission has surfaced – 1.92, 2.08 and 2.86. If the government approves 2.86, the minimum wage can be 51,480 directly from 18,000 to 51,480.

How much will the stenographer benefit?

If the same ratio also applies to stenographers, then their new basic salary can go up to Rs 72,930. That is, an increase of about Rs 47,000 from the existing basic. Apart from this, other allowances (DA, HRA, TA etc.) will also increase naturally, which will lead to more in-hand salary.
