Mustafizur Rahman has decided to play in the Pakistan Super League after being released by Kolkata Knight Riders. KKR had bought him for Rs 9.20 crore in the auction held for IPL 2026, but after growing protests in India, on the instructions of BCCI, the franchise released the Bangladesh fast bowler. Let us tell you that even if Mustafizur gets the highest amount of PSL, it will not be even half of the amount decided by KKR.

There was a tough competition in the IPL 2026 auction to buy Mustafizur Rahman, when his price crossed Rs 9 crore. KKR and team owner Shahrukh Khan started being criticized because they had bought the Bangladeshi player for a huge amount of Rs 9.20 crore.

After increasing protests, BCCI directed KKR to release Mustafizur. After this Bangladesh banned IPL telecast in its country. Mustafizur got his name registered for Pakistan Super League 2026.
