Experts believe that after this commission, the basic pay may increase by about 25 to 30 percent. If the fitment factor is kept at 2.5 or more, then there will be a big change in the allowances also. This will have a direct impact on the total salary of the clerk. For example, if at present the salary of a rural bank clerk is around Rs 35,000, then after the 8th Pay Commission it may increase to around Rs 45,000 to Rs 50,000.
