The command of Delhi’s security system is now in the hands of IPS officer Satish Golcha. The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued an order appointing him as the new Police Commissioner of Delhi. Earlier, he was posted as DG (Jail). Golcha, a 1992 batch AGMUT cadre official Golcha, has now become the 26th Commissioner of Delhi Police.
The responsibility has been withdrawn from SBK Singh, who is handling the additional charge of the Delhi Police Commissioner. This decision was taken just one day after the attack on Chief Minister Rekha Gupta. Now the command of this important post has been handed over to IPS officer Satish Golcha. Golcha was still working as DG of Tihar Jail and now he has been appointed Delhi Police Commissioner.

The post of Delhi Police Commissioner is very important and full of responsibility. The officer sitting in this post gets a salary of Rs 2,25,000 every month. This salary is fixed according to the seventh pay commission and is placed in the category of high levels. Along with salary, they also get many other facilities. In which facilities like government accommodation, official vehicle and driver, security, medical facilities, assistant staff etc. will be available.
Satish Golcha’s journey
Satish Golcha is a 1992 batch IPS officer and comes from AgMut cadre (Arunachal Pradesh-Goa-Mizoram and Union Territory). His long experience of police service makes him a strong officer to take charge of the capital police. He served in these important positions while living in DCP, Joint CP and Special CP Delhi Police. While out of Delhi, Golcha worked as a police chief in Arunachal Pradesh. He was also made the Director General of Tihar Jail in Delhi. Now he has been given the responsibility of Delhi Police Commissioner.
