The rules of Indian domestic cricket are clear. Here players get salary based on experience. If a player has experience of 20 or less List-A matches, then he gets a salary of Rs 40 thousand per match. Whereas a player having experience of 21-40 matches will get a salary of Rs 50 thousand for one match in Vijay Hazare Trophy.
Whereas a player who has experience of 41 or more List-A matches, he gets Rs 60 thousand for playing each match. Since Virat Kohli has the experience of more than 300 List-A matches, Virat will get Rs 60 thousand per match if he plays for Delhi in the Vijay Hazare Trophy.
How many matches will Virat Kohli play?
Delhi has to play 7 matches in the league stage of Vijay Hazare Trophy. Will Virat Kohli represent Delhi team in all these matches. The answer is, no. According to media reports, Virat can play only 3 matches. He can play in the matches against Andhra on 24th December, Gujarat on 26th December and Railways on 6th January.
Delhi’s schedule in Vijay Hazare Trophy
Delhi has got a place in Group D in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26. In Group D, it has Haryana, Gujarat, Saurashtra, Services, Odisha, Railways and Andhra Pradesh. Delhi has to play 7 matches in the league stage, after which the knockout matches will start from January 12.
