Maruti Suzuki exports vehicles not only in India, but in many countries of the world. The Suzuki E Vitara introduced in Europe is the company’s first electric SUV. Recently Euro NCAP conducted a crash test of this SUV and examined its safety standards. In which this SUV has received a 4-star safety rating. For adult safety, it has been given 77% marks, 85% marks for safety of children and 79% marks for pedestrians.

Which variant test was done?

  • The report released by Euro NCAP stated that the 61 kwh battery capacity left-hand drive variant was tested. However, test results will be considered valid for all variants of SUV.

How many marks were found?

  • After the test, Suzuki E Vitara received a total of 4-star safety rating in total. It has got 77% marks for safety of adults, 85% marks for safety of children, 79% marks for pedestrians and 72% marks for safety assist system.

Adult safety results

  • According to the results in the crash test, the passenger compartment of the SUV in the frontal offset impact test was completely safe. The safety of the knees and legs of the people sitting on the seats ahead was found to be good. In the side impact test, all parts of the body got better security. For adult safety, SUV got 31 out of 40 points. This includes 25 in frontal and lateral impact, 3.9 in rear impact and 2.2 marks for rescue and safety features.

  • According to Euro NCAP report, Suzuki E Vitara performed well in the safety of children. The SUV got 42 out of a total of 49. It got a full 24 points for children aged 6 to 10 and in lateral impact. Apart from this, 12 out of 12 points in CRS installation check and 6 marks for safety features.
