After this the juice is cleaned by filtering. Then this clear juice is heated in machines and its water is removed, due to which it becomes a thick syrup. After cooling, small sugar particles are added to it, due to which gradually larger sugar grains start forming.

The method of making jaggery is easier than sugar. Big sugar mills are required to process sugar, whereas jaggery can also be made in small industries or factories. To make jaggery, sugarcane juice is thickened by boiling. There is not much chemical processing in it, hence its natural properties remain intact. For this reason, essential minerals like iron, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium and potassium are present in jaggery.
Disadvantages of eating too much sugar
Excessive consumption of sugar has a deep impact on our health and increases the risk of many diseases. Despite this, people consume sugar in large quantities.
