Preparation done in the right direction not only leads to good marks, but the dream of getting admission in the university of one’s choice can also be fulfilled.

Before starting the preparation for CUET exam, it is most important that the students understand the syllabus and exam pattern well. CUET syllabus is mostly based on class 12th NCERT books. Therefore, first of all one should read NCERT books carefully. It is easier to read the entire syllabus of each subject by dividing it into small parts. More time should be spent on the topics in which you have weakness.

Mock test is necessary

CUET exam mainly consists of three parts. The first is the language section, the second is domain subjects and the third is general test. Multiple choice questions are asked in every section. The examination is computer based, so students should also develop the habit of giving online tests. This reduces nervousness at the time of examination and also helps in using time properly.

To strengthen the preparation, practicing mock tests and old questions is very important. By giving mock tests, students understand what kind of questions are asked in the exam and which section takes more time. Besides, one’s mistakes also come to light. When students recognize their mistakes and correct them, their performance gradually starts improving. Giving regular mock tests also improves time management, which is very important in an examination like CUET.

It is important to make a time table

A correct and balanced study plan makes CUET preparation easy. Students should make time table according to their daily routine. Studying for 6 to 8 hours daily is considered enough, but this study should be done with full concentration. Set aside time for each subject and focus on that subject during that time. It is important to take out time for revision from time to time, so that the things studied are remembered for a long time.

Students who are regular and disciplined can also prepare for CUET through self-study. Nowadays, there are many online platforms available where experienced teachers provide preparation for CUET. The advantage of online classes is that students can study sitting at home and can watch the recorded videos again if needed.

Keep these things in mind

Special attention should also be paid to preparation for the language section. In this section, questions related to reading comprehension, grammar and understanding of words come. Reading newspaper daily strengthens your grip on language and also increases your reading speed. Apart from this, reading short stories and articles also improves the ability to understand. Repeating grammar rules and learning new words can help you score good marks in the language section.

To prepare for domain subjects, taking NCERT books as the basis is the best way. Read each chapter of the book carefully and make notes of important points. Short notes are very useful at the time of revision. To prepare for General Test, focus should be on general knowledge, logical ability and basic mathematics. By practicing a little every day, this section also improves.
