This year the wait for Apple’s first foldable iPhone will end. Apple will launch an iPhone with a different form factor than the foldable phones currently available in the market, which will be wider. Samsung has also geared up to compete with it and the company will launch a new Galaxy Wide Fold phone this year. When unfolded, the width of this phone will be greater than the length and that is why it has been named Wide. Now new information has come to light regarding its design.
How will Samsung’s Wide Fold look?
According to reports, a punch hole camera will be provided in the top center of the cover screen of Galaxy Wide Fold and it will come with a boxy profile. That means it will not have rounded edges like non-foldable phones. Along with the cover, a punch hole camera will also be provided on its main screen, which will be in the top center. When unfolded it will appear wider than tall. With this, it will give a tablet like experience when unfolded. It is expected to have a 7.6-inch foldable OLED display, which will give the user enough space for multitasking, productivity and streaming etc. Its biggest advantage in streaming will be that the user will not have to see horizontal black bars on the top and bottom along with the visuals.
When can it be launched?
No official information regarding this phone has been revealed yet by Samsung. If leaks are to be believed, Wide Fold can also be launched along with Galaxy Z Fold 8 and Galaxy Z Flip 8 phones in the Galaxy Z Unpacked event. These are mere speculations and there may be a delay in its launch.
Apple will explode with iPhone Fold
Apple is ready to explode by launching its first foldable iPhone in September. Coming by the name of iPhone Fold, this device can be given a 7.8 inch inner and 5.5 inch outer display. Dual camera setup can be provided in the rear of this iPhone and one camera each on the cover and main display. The starting price of iPhone Fold in India can be around Rs 2.25 lakh.
