The ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas led by Trump has reached the verge of collapse. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned on Monday (20 October 2025) that his military campaign against Hamas is not yet complete.
Israeli army dropped 153 tons of bombs on Gaza
Benjamin Netanyahu said in his parliament on Monday that the Israeli army has dropped 153 tons of bombs on Gaza. He described it as an action taken by Hamas in response to breaking the ceasefire. He said, “We have weapons in one hand and the other hand is extended for peace. Peace requires strength and Israel is stronger than ever.”
Military operation not completed yet: Netanyahu
Israeli PM Netanyahu said that the military operation in Gaza has not been completed yet, due to which questions have been raised on the durability of the ceasefire. Israel has started airstrike after Hamas attack on IDF in Rafah. Two Israeli soldiers were killed in this attack by Hamas.
Netanyahu called the attack a flagrant violation of the ceasefire and said Israel retaliated against more than 12 targets, including senior Hamas commanders. Hamas has denied any involvement in the attack. Netanyahu said, “We have improved our situation. We brought back our hostages. Some people are still there and we will bring them back soon.”
‘Ceasefire does not give license to threaten Israel’
According to the Times of Israel report, Netanyahu has talked about destroying the military and governance capabilities of Hamas. He stressed that the ceasefire does not give Hamas license to threaten Israel. He said, “Aggression against us will have to pay a very heavy price.”
Meanwhile, US Vice President JD Vance has reached Israel on Tuesday (21 October 2025) to strengthen the Gaza ceasefire. 2 Israeli soldiers and 45 Palestinians have been killed in the violence after the ceasefire.
