An incident that puts humanity to shame has come to light in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh. In the Sheetla Mata temple in Kakori police station area here, the domineering Swami Kant got the elderly Rampal to urinate. After which there was panic in the police administration. Considering the sensitivity of the matter, the police have registered the case and arrested the accused. Whereas there is extreme anger among the family members and villagers regarding the incident and they are demanding strict punishment.
Politics has also started regarding this incident. SP chief Akhilesh Yadav has targeted the BJP government of the state by posting on social media handle X. Besides, Congress has also raised the issue of increasing atrocities on Dalits in the state.
What is the whole matter?
Victim’s grandson Mukesh Kumar told that Baba has problem of panting and also coughs. Due to which when you feel tired, you stay there. On Monday 20th October also he was coming towards home at around 8 pm. Then he started panting and sat in the parking lot of the temple. Then he urinated. During this time Swami Kant came and started saying that you have urinated here. Baba got nervous on this and initially refused, but later agreed. After this, he made them pee and then got them cleaned. After this he was sent away from there with the threat of not being seen again. On Tuesday morning Baba informed about the entire incident. After this we decided to complain. If they had just got it washed then there would have been no problem but doing such a thing is wrong.
Police started action
Kakori police station has registered a case against the accused Swami Kant under sections 115(2) (voluntarily causing hurt), 351(3) (criminal intimidation), and 352 (insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) of the Indian Penal Code as well as relevant sections of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. Police said that the accused has been arrested and the entire matter is being investigated.
