World Billionaires List: The number of billionaires in the world is increasing rapidly and in this matter China has now left America behind. According to the latest report, there are a total of 4,020 billionaires globally, out of which China alone has 1,110 billionaires. This information has been given in the Hurun Global Rich List released by Shanghai-based research organization Hurun Report on Thursday.
According to the report, 287 new billionaires have been added to China in the last one year, due to which it has reached the first place in this list. According to South China Morning Post, Rupert Hoogewerf, Chairman and Chief Researcher of Harun Group, said that in the coming times, the focus of economic power will be on technology and emerging industries. Most of the new billionaires of China are associated with industrial products, semiconductor, healthcare and energy sectors.
China number-1 in the list of billionaires
It has also been told in the report that Artificial Intelligence has played a big role in the new billionaires created in China. For example, Yan Junjie of AI startup MiniMax has joined the list of billionaires with a net worth of about $3.6 billion. The founder of AI company Zhipu AI has also joined this list with a net worth of about $1.2 billion.
Globally, 114 new billionaires have been created due to the AI sector, out of which 46 have joined this list for the first time. In terms of number of billionaires, America is in second place with 1,000 billionaires, where 130 new billionaires have been added in the last one year. India is at third place with 308 billionaires. After this, Germany is at fourth place with 171 billionaires, which has left Britain behind.
Top American among billionaires
However, in terms of total wealth, American tech giants still dominate. Elon Musk remains the richest person in the world with a net worth of about $792 billion. After him, Jeff Bezos is in second place with a wealth of about $300 billion, while Larry Page is in third place with a wealth of about $281 billion.
According to the report, Elon Musk has become the richest person in the world for the fifth time in the last six years. His total wealth has increased by about 89 percent, the main reason for which is believed to be the sharp rise in Tesla shares, which have doubled to about $411.
