Hiba Rana, daughter of late famous poet Munawwar Rana, was given triple talaq by her husband. Saadatganj police have registered a case and started investigating the matter. Hiba Rana has filed a case against her husband Mohammad Saqib and father-in-law Haseeb Ahmed.
Hiba Rana got married according to Sunni customs in 2013.
Munawwar Rana’s daughter Hiba Rana was married in 2013 as per Sunni customs. According to the copy of the FIR, apart from gold and diamond jewellery, Saqib’s father and family had also given Rs 10 lakh as dowry at the wedding.
Dowry greedy people demanded Rs 20 lakh more
According to the FIR lodged in the police station, when Hiba Rana left after the marriage and went to her in-laws’ house, Saqib and his father started demanding another Rs 20 lakh. Many times the demands of dowry seekers were also fulfilled so that marital life was not adversely affected. Hiba Rana and Saqib have two children. Has a son and daughter. Saqib also used to beat his wife Hiba Rana every day.
Hiba Rana was thrown out of the house after giving divorce thrice.
It is also mentioned in the FIR that on April 9, 2025, Hiba Rana was beaten and abused by her husband. When the victim’s sister Arshia Rana went to meet her, Saqib became very angry and tried to attack her by abusing her. Meanwhile, Saqib divorced Hiba Rana thrice and threw her out of his house. Also, both the children were locked in the room of the house.
According to the FIR, the victim has become mentally disturbed and is very scared. Hiba Rana’s family is also being continuously threatened by her husband Saqib and her father-in-law.
