On Tuesday (August 26, 2025) in Nawada, Bihar, a man was beaten to death by a person. He shaved his wife’s head and lime. The incident is of Panchu Garh Mushari of Hisua police station area of the district. The woman was suspected of being a witch, due to which the entire scandal has happened. The deceased has been identified as 70 -year -old Gaya Manjhi. His wife is seriously injured.
Dial-112 police went away after seeing the crowd
It is also alleged that both were naked and wearing a shoe-slippers in the form of garlands. Today (Wednesday) morning, the crowd was also going to burn these two alive near the cremation ghat. The incident was reported on Tuesday night on Dial-112, but seeing the crowd, the police went without action.
Gaya Manjhi’s body sent for postmortem
On the morning of Wednesday (August 27, 2025), the police of Hisua police station reached the spot. Police sent Gaya Manjhi’s body to Nawada for postmortem. The injured woman was admitted to Hisua Community Hospital. The police has started investigation in this entire case. No one was arrested until the news was written.
Woman found injured from cremation ghat
In this whole case, SI Rupa Kumari of Hisua police station told that we got information that the locals have attacked Gaya Manjhi and his wife by telling the witch. Gaya Manjhi died in assault. His wife is seriously injured. The crowd shaved his head, wearing a garland of shoes and slippers and rotated them throughout the locality. Tried to burn alive. The dead body and the injured woman were recovered from near the cremation ghat. The police is investigating and taking action.
