‘I am a man worth Rs 1500 crore’, after getting bail from jail, Rajpal Yadav appeals to the Film Federation to create an investment fund.

Rajpal Yadav had recently come out of jail on interim bail in the check bounce case of Rs 9 crore. A few days later, the actor held a press conference in Mumbai, where he expressed his views regarding his loan of Rs 9 crore. While interacting with the media, he also thanked all those who came forward to help him. He also appealed to the Film Federation to create a formal investment fund and a contract framework so that such cases do not happen again.

Demand for financial backing model in film industry
Speaking to news agency ANI, Rajpal Yadav stressed the need to make finance related agreements standard within the film industry. He said, “I request the entire film federation to agree on an investment fund for film finance so that it can move forward. They should create a basic platform which both foreign investors and actors can follow. If this happens, it will become very easy.”

Talking about his many years long career, the actor said, “I have been working for 26 years now, and there have been at least 200 agreements, ranging from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.5 lakh, then up to Rs 15 lakh. If I had fought on the agreement, then why do I have only one case and no one else? I have been saying this again and again, no matter the machine, I have been asked where Rs 5 crore would come from. I am ready to support whoever is behind this film, but the intention of taking money from Madhav and Mithilesh is not right, so no one knows about the rest.

Yadav was granted interim bail by the Delhi High Court till March 18. This relief came when he surrendered before the authorities regarding the outstanding amount. The case was heard by Justice Swarn Kanta Sharma, who granted bail on the condition that the actor deposits Rs 1.5 crore as bail bond. After this, the lawyer of the complainant, M/S Murali Project, confirmed that the amount had been deposited in the company’s bank account in lieu of the bounced cheque, after which the court approved the release of Rajpal Yadav.
