Nobel Peace Prize laureate and Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado was rescued in December after being in hiding in Venezuela for more than a year. The American team has now shared a video of her rescue, in which it is shown how she got out of Venezuela. Machado left Venezuela for Norway in December so she could receive the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize.
A few weeks after leaving Venezuela, the Gray Bull Rescue Team, the American team that helped him, has released a video. According to a CNN report, Machado boarded a boat off the coast of Venezuela and reached a place in the Caribbean Sea, where Brian Stern, head of Gray Bull Rescue and a former US Special Forces soldier, met her.

As the viral video shows, Machado met Stern and boarded another boat. Due to darkness further video could not be shot properly. However, Machado and Stern were heard introducing each other. After this, Machado boarded another boat and holding the camera said that I am Maria Corina Machado. I am alive and I am safe and I am very grateful to Gray Bull.
Machado handed over the Nobel Peace Prize to Trump
Machado was rescued from Venezuela a few weeks before the US Army’s recent operation in Caracas. After the US campaign in Venezuela, Maria Machado once again came into the limelight and many people speculated that she could become the new President of Venezuela. Machado recently handed over his Nobel Peace Prize 2025 to Donald Trump and said that this step has been taken in recognition of his unique commitment to the independence of Venezuela.
