Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann appearing before Akal Takht Jathedar Kuldeep Singh Gadgaj. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann first reached the Akal Takht Secretariat. Jathedar Kuldeep Singh Gadgaj reached the secretariat some time after the arrival of the Chief Minister. The Chief Minister has been summoned regarding his alleged statements on Sikh institutions and traditions.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann appeared before the Jathedar of Akal Takht at the Golden Temple in Amritsar. After appearing before the Akal Takht, the Chief Minister- ‘I have given an explanation of the allegations against me for which I was called.’ Akal Takht Jathedar will now hold a meeting of Panch Singh Sahiban in which the next decision will be taken on my clarification.
‘I am ready for every kind of forensic investigation’- CM Bhagwant Mann
CM Bhagwant Mann said, “The video of mine which is circulating on social media. The video with some objectionable statements has been made by AI. I have told this to Jathedar Sahib. I am ready for every kind of forensic investigation. I have received many complaints regarding the functioning of SGPC, I have given them to Jathedar Sahib.”
‘Every decision of the throne is accepted’- Bhagwant Mann
CM Mann further said, “Some people are spreading the rumor that I am taking on Akal Takht, this is wrong. I have made it clear to Jathedar Sahib that I have full faith in Akal Takht and I accept whatever decision the Takht takes. The government is working on making a strict law against the sacrilege of religious texts.”
