Recalling the reactions after her wedding in June 2024, she said, “It’s just noise, yes, it’s absolutely noise because, like you said, I’m not the first person to do this, I won’t be the last.”
Sonakshi on her wedding day kept negativity away
During the conversation, when Soha was asked about the negative comments and how she deals with all this, the actress said, “This is a life choice of a mature woman, whom I don’t even know, everyone had an opinion about it for some reason, which I could not understand. And at that time it all felt really stupid.” Sonakshi further added, “Honestly, in that moment, everything was about us, and it was something that we had been waiting for for a very long time. And it was finally happening. It was happening. And we were really very, very excited and very happy that we were finally able to spend our lives with each other, and it was beautiful for us.”

She further said, “It is very difficult, especially at a time when all you want is positivity. We live in a world of social media, so I had to stop my comments. I did not want to read a single negative thing about myself, my partner or my family on my big day.”
Got married after dating for seven years
Zaheer and Sonakshi dated each other for seven years before marriage. Both of them first met in 2013 at a party of Salman Khan. However, in 2017, during the after-party of Tubelight, a spark flared up between the two and they kept talking for hours. In 2024, the couple got married in a civil ceremony under the Special Marriage Act at Sonakshi’s Mumbai home in the presence of their families and close friends.
Later he hosted a grand reception for his colleagues from the industry. Since their marriage, the couple has been traveling a lot and often share glimpses of their exciting experiences on social media.
