Karan Johar’s film ‘Homebound’ was shortlisted in the Oscar Awards. Oscar nominations took place on January 22. But Homebound could not make it to these nominations. Homebound is out of the Oscar race. Film producer Karan Johar and actor Vishal Jethwa have reacted to this.

Let us tell you that Homebound was shortlisted in the Best International Feature Film category. Now in this category, Brazil’s The Secret Agent, France’s It Was Just an Accident, Norway’s Sentiment Value, Spain’s Sirat and Tunisia’s The Voice of Hind Rajab have been nominated.
Vishal Jethwa reacted
While talking to Hindutan Times, Vishal Jethwa said, ‘Even though Homebound did not reach the nominations, it was shortlisted. This in itself is a matter of respect. Homebound coming here and representing India globally is special in itself. I am very grateful to be a part of this film.
He said, ‘We may say that we do not expect anything, but now that so much was lost, there was at least some hope. Whoever saw the film liked it. Said the story was strong. This is an achievement for us.
The film has been directed by Neeraj Ghaywan. Karan Johar has produced the film. Ishaan Khattar, Vishal Jethwa and Jhanvi Kapoor were in lead roles in this film. The film is streaming on Netflix. The story of childhood friends Shoaib and Chandan is shown in this film.
