Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah is once again in the news. The actor told that he was recently invited to an event at Mumbai University. But then at the last minute he was refused to come to that event. Later he was accused of refusing to attend the event.

Let us tell you that the actor was invited to the ‘Jashn-e-Urdu Event’ of Mumbai University. Here he was going to talk to the students. He was very excited for this event. He told that he has had a four decade long involvement with teaching and mentoring emerging actors. But on the night of 31 January, he was told that he did not have to come to the event being held tomorrow.
Then the actor told that he was also wrongly accused of refusing to come to this event. Naseeruddin Shah told that after this he was not even apologized.
In his column for the Indian Express, he wrote that his invitation was canceled due to his outspoken opinion on every matter. Naseeruddin Shah said that he does not praise those who call themselves ‘Vishwaguru’. The actor said, ‘I have never praised anyone who calls himself ‘Vishwaguru’. I have even been criticizing the way he presents himself. Their arrogance makes me feel bad. I have not been impressed by anything he has done in the last 10 years. I have often criticized many actions of the ruling government. Will continue to do so in future also.
At the end of the column he wrote, ‘This is not the country in which I grew up. Who taught me to love.
