Bollywood’s He-Man i.e. Dharmendra passed away on 24th November. Now, 16 days after his death, his wife Hema Malini hosted a prayer meet for him in Delhi. During this time his daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol were also present. During this, Hema Malini became emotional remembering her late husband. He had tears in his eyes while remembering his and Dharmendra’s journey.
Hema Malini talked about her love story and married life in Dharmendra’s prayer meet. He said- ‘I played love in many films with Dharmendra ji. He became my life partner there. Our love was true, that is why we had the courage to face any situation and we both got married. He became a very devoted life partner for me. He became an inspirational and strong pillar for me and stood with me at every moment and every step. He agreed to every decision I took.
‘Dharam ji, seeing the small children…’
Hema Malini further said about Dharmendra – ‘He became a loving father to both my daughters – Isha and Ahana, gave them a lot of love and also got them married at the right time. He became a very dear Nanu to our five grandchildren and loved them very much and our children were also crazy about their Nanu. Dharam ji used to become very happy after seeing small children and used to tell me that look, this is a very beautiful flower of ours which should always be preserved with love.
‘A condolence meeting has to be organized and that too for my Dharam ji…’
During this, Hema Malini became very emotional and tears welled up in her eyes while speaking about Dharmendra. He said- ‘I never thought that a moment would come when I too would have to hold a condolence meeting and that too for my Dharam ji. The whole world is mourning his demise. But for me this is a shock from which I can never recover.
