Mumbai Indians Owner Mukesh Ambani: Tendulkar remained in the discussion during the Anderson series about India’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah fitness. Bumrah played only three Test matches out of five. Now former veteran cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar has raised questions on Bumrah’s workload management. The former cricketer believes that Bumrah should have paid attention to the more than the IPL 2025 India-England series. According to the Times of India, Dilip Vengsarkar said that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the selectors should have told Mumbai Indians owner Mukesh Ambani that it is necessary for Bumrah to leave this IPL.

Dilip Vengsarkar celebrating Mukesh Ambani?

According to the Times of India, former cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar said that in view of the Test series and back injury between India and England, BCCI, selectors and team management should have asked Jaspreet Bumrah to retreat from IPL 2025. It was quite important that for this iconic series we should have found full fit and refresh Bumrah.

Dilip Vengsarkar further said that if I had been the Chief Selector of India, then I would have persuaded Mukesh Ambani and Jaspreet Bumrah that I would have to leave the IPL for the England series. Apart from this, Bumrah plays less matches in IPL and I hope that they would agree for this.

‘Wins the series against England’

Dilip Vengsarkar further said that such a series happens once in four years. I do not think that now India is going to play a five -match Test series against a country before Australia till January 2027. It was always a remembered series and I wanted Bumrah to be present for all Test matches and we would win this series.
