The International Cricket Council (ICC) has fined the Indian player and England team. The ICC has imposed a fine on the Indian women’s cricket team batsman Prabhu Rawal and England’s women’s cricket team on Friday for violation of the code of conduct.
Pratika Rawal has been fined 10 percent of the match fee for violation of level one in two different incidents and a demerit point has been added to the disciplinary records. Let us know that Rawal has been found guilty of unnecessary physical contact with England bowler Lauren filer and Sophie Eclastone in his next over during the 18th over.
The ICC said in a statement on its website, the Indian opener was punished for two different incidents that took place within a short interval. While taking a run in the 18th over, he made physical contact with the bowler Lauren filer, from which he should have avoided. While returning to the dressing room after being dismissed in the next over, he also made the same contact with bowler Sophie Allestone.
Thus a demerit point was added to Rawal’s record, as this was his first crime in a period of 24 months. The ICC also said that it has imposed a five percent fine of the match fee on the England team for a slow over speed, as it had reduced one over in the scheduled time.
According to the statement, Pritaka Rawal and England captain Nat Cyver-Brant has accepted the restrictions imposed by the match referee Sarah Bartlet, so there was no need for a formal hearing.
Let us know that India’s women’s cricket team is on a tour of England for the series of five T20 and three ODIs. After defeating England in the T20 series, the Indian team also started with a win in the ODI series. The Indian team won the five-match T20 series 3–2. Now ODI is ahead 1-0 in Serid.
