Actually, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) had refused to send its team to India for T20 World Cup 2026 citing security reasons. According to media reports, the ICC clearly rejected the demand for changing the venue and said that the Bangladesh team will have to come to India to play the World Cup match.

Another Cricbuzz report claimed that the ICC told the Bangladesh Cricket Board that in its assessment there is no threat to the Bangladesh team from playing in India. For this reason, ICC does not see any reason to change the venue of Bangladesh team’s matches.
