In this tournament, a total of 42 people including players and officials are coming to India for the T20 World Cup. There are players of Pakistani origin in these teams

Cricketers of Pakistani origin in the England team include spinner Adil Rashid, Rehan Ahmed and fast bowler Saqib Mahmood. The US team includes players of Pakistani origin like Ali Khan and Shayan Jahangir and the Netherlands team includes players of Pakistani origin like Zulfikar Saqib. According to the report, the visa applications of England players Rashid, Rehan and Shakib have already been approved. At the same time, Netherlands team members and Canadian support staff member Shah Salim Zafar have also got visas.

Last date for getting visa is 31st January

The process of providing visas to players and officials of Pakistani nationality or Pakistani origin included in the teams of UAE, USA, Italy, Bangladesh and Canada is underway. Next week’s date has been fixed for necessary action to provide visas for these teams, indicating that the process has reached its final stage. The last date for issuing visas for the participants has been fixed as January 31, 2026. Accelerating this process has been taken as a step in view of the representation of players of Pakistani origin in associate and full member countries. Cricketers, officials and standby players of many teams are involved in this process of ICC.
