The International Cricket Council (ICC) has taken a tough decision and excluded Bangladesh from the T20 World Cup 2026. After that, Pakistan started a new drama and showed arrogance and even threatened to boycott the World Cup. Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi started abusing the ICC while supporting Bangladesh. But the International Cricket Council used such a whip, due to which Pakistan has lost its sanity.

In fact, there was a huge uproar in the cricket world over Bangladesh’s demand to change the venue. Pakistan also tried to escalate this controversy. PCB Chief Mohsin Naqvi had taken a dig at ICC, terming the decision to exclude Bangladesh from the T20 World Cup as ‘injustice’.

ICC threatened

According to media reports, ICC was angry with Mohsin Naqvi’s statements. The International Cricket Council clearly said that if, like Bangladesh, Pakistan also decides to boycott the T20 World Cup 2026, then the ICC will take major action against it.

Let us tell you that at the time of Champions Trophy 2025, there was an agreement between BCCI and PCB to hold India-Pakistan matches at neutral venues. Under the same hybrid model, Pakistan’s matches in the T20 World Cup 2026 will be played in Sri Lanka. If sources are to be believed, if Pakistan decides to pull out of the T20 World Cup, then many types of restrictions can be imposed on it.

Due to boycotting the T20 World Cup, things like banning Pakistan’s bilateral series with all countries, being out of the Asia Cup and not issuing No Objection Certificate (NOC) to foreign players to play in the PSL could have been implemented.

Pakistan’s air has become tight

Due to this stance of ICC, Pakistan’s air became tight and the very next day it announced its 15-member team for T20 World Cup 2026. Pakistan will play T20 World Cup 2026 under the captaincy of Salman Aga. Babar Azam has returned to this team, while fast bowler Haris Rauf has been dropped.
