Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Sunday (October 12, 2025) has condemned the recent provocative action taken by Afghanistan in the Pakistan border area. While praising the Pakistani Armed Forces for taking strong and effective retaliatory action, PM Shehbaz Sharif also appreciated the professionalism of the Pakistan Army in protecting the country’s borders.

He said, ‘We are very proud of the professionalism of our armed forces. Under the courageous leadership of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, the Pakistani Army not only gave a befitting reply to Afghanistan’s aggression but also destroyed many of their posts, due to which they had to retreat.

Pakistan’s security is in strong hands – Shahbaz

Pakistani PM said, ‘There will be no compromise on the defense of Pakistan. Every aggression will be responded to strongly and effectively. Emphasizing this, he said, ‘Pakistan’s security is in strong and capable hands and the country knows how to protect every inch of its soil.’

He said, ‘Pakistan’s armed forces have always given a decisive and befitting reply to any external aggression and the entire country stands united with its security forces.’

Shahbaz Sharif spoke on cross-border terrorism

Highlighting the issue of cross-border terrorism, PM Shehbaz Sharif said, ‘Pakistan has many times informed Afghanistan about the presence of terrorist organizations like Fitna-tul-Khawarij and Fitna-tul-Hindustan, which are using Afghan soil to carry out terrorist actions against Pakistan.’

He said, ‘These terrorist organizations have the support of some elements present within Afghanistan. But Pakistan hopes that the interim Afghan government will ensure that its soil will not be used by any terrorist organization for attacks against Pakistan.

Afghan government chief spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said on Sunday (October 12, 2025) that Afghanistan has killed 58 soldiers of Pakistan. This action has been taken in response to repeated violations of the security of its sovereign territory and airspace. Afghan army has captured 25 Pakistani posts, 58 soldiers have been killed and more than 30 are injured.
