Life certificate is a document which proves that the person taking pension is still alive. The government asks for this proof every year to ensure that the pension is being given to the right person and no fraud is taking place. Earlier, the elderly had to visit banks or government offices to submit this certificate. But now this work has become very easy. Actually, every year between 1st November and 30th November, pensioners have to submit their life certificate, if you do not do so then your pension may be stopped from the next month.
How can you submit life certificate sitting at home?
The elderly no longer need to stand in queues at banks to submit life certificates. Actually the government has digitalized this process. After which now you can submit your life certificate through Jeevan Praman app sitting at home. For this, Aadhaar biometric authentication is done through mobile or laptop. Apart from this, this process can also be completed by calling the post office agent at home. This way you will not need to go anywhere and your pension will continue to be received on time.
Pension can be stopped even without these documents
- Age certificate- Apart from life certificate, there are some other important documents also, without which the pension can get stuck. Which also includes age certificate. For this you have to show Aadhar Card, Voter ID, Ration Card, Birth Certificate, 10th Marksheet, Passport or Driving License.
- Address Proof- Your pension can be stopped even without address proof. For address proof also you have to show any one document like Aadhar Card, Electricity, Bank Passbook or Ration Card.
- Bank details- Your pension can also be stopped due to incomplete bank details. In such a situation, it is important that your bank account number, IFSC code and copy of passbook are correct in the pension details.
- Information related to pension- Even if the information related to pension is not correct, your pension can be stopped. In such a situation, it is necessary for you to have PPO number or pension ID and income declaration certificate.
