C-Voter has conducted a ‘Mood of the Nation’ (MOTN) survey on which party will form the government if Lok Sabha elections are held in the country today. If the survey is to be believed, the seats of BJP led NDA will increase to 352. Only BJP can get 287 seats. At the same time, India Alliance will get 182 seats, in which Congress’s seats are likely to reduce from 99 to 80. Others may get 9 seats.
If elections are held today, whose government will be formed?
Talking about vote percentage, if elections are held now, NDA may get 47 percent votes while Indian Alliance may get 39 percent votes. 14 percent votes can go to others’ account. BJP could not get majority on its own in the Lok Sabha elections held in 2024. Then NDA had won 293 seats, in which BJP got 240 seats, Telugu Desam Party (TDP) got 16 seats and JDU got 12 seats.
BJP’s seats will increase compared to last election
In the last Lok Sabha elections, India Alliance had won 233 seats while others had won 18 seats. In this, Congress got 99 seats, Samajwadi Party got 37 seats, while Trinamool Congress was successful in winning 29 seats and DMK was successful in winning 22 seats. In Uttarakhand, BJP had won all the five Lok Sabha seats. Whereas BJP had suffered a big loss in Uttar Pradesh. Out of 80 seats in the state, NDA candidates had won 36 and Samajwadi Party candidates had won 43. At that time, BJP’s performance in Maharashtra was also poor.
BJP made a strong comeback in many states
However, after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, assembly elections were held in many states, where BJP made a strong comeback. Except Jharkhand, BJP led government was formed in every election state. The BJP-led Mahayuti performed brilliantly in the Maharashtra Assembly elections held after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. In this election, BJP got 132 seats, Shiv Sena (Shinde) got 57 seats, NCP got 41 seats.
