Virat Kohli will return to Test cricket?

Former Australian cricket team captain Michael Clarke has made a big claim to withdraw Virat Kohli’s retirement. Clarke said in the Bayond 23 podcast on his YouTube channel that if the Indian team loses badly in the five -match Test series on the tour of England, then Virat Kohli may be withdrawn from Test cricket. Clarke further said that if the Indian team is seen struggling in England, then the selectors can ask Virat to return to the team.

Virat Kohli announced his retirement from Test cricket on May 12, 2025 last month. Five days before Virat, team captain Rohit Sharma also retired from Test cricket. The BCCI says that Virat had planned to retire from the Test only after the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Kohli played 123 Test matches in his career, scoring 9,230 runs. Virat had said at the beginning of his career that he wants to score 10,000 runs in Test cricket, but seeing his form in BGT, Virat announced his retirement.
