BCCI lost 1500 crores
A BCCI official has revealed that broadcasting rights for the next 4 Asia Cup have already been sold in an amount of $ 170 million, which is equal to about Rs 1500 crore in Indian currency. It is not a rocket science to understand that one of the reasons for the BCCI receives such a hefty amount is also India vs Pakistan match.
According to reports, a slot of 10 second advertisement in India-Pakistan matches is sold for Rs 25-30 lakh. At the same time, this amount becomes less than half for other matches.
